( 3rd and 4th trimester school project )

Space Morons is a 3D multiplayer Shooter game in third person view in a zero-gravity environment. The game includes 3 different choseable gears for each categories such as Motors, Guns (which all have a Special Attack) , Grenades and Shields  The point of the game is to max all your team tanks out of the 3 contested ressource points orbiting in the middle of the level. Be a moron and blow enemies away with pollutant gears!

After our concept being choosen by judges at the end of my third trimester at the NAD, we had 15 weeks to build our very first 3D game as so for learning AGILE methods and Perforce's file sharing system. We worked with some programmers at UQAC to code our mechanics and with few sound designers and a composer from UDEM to get the best from the project, which i think we got!

( 5th trimester school project )

Prospector's Greed is a chase against the environment. You are a greedy miner deep in a cave and you find a strange mystical talisman buried under rocks. Because it shines, you can't resist. You grab the thing but suddenly the cave is crumbling. In a hurry, you have to escape! As the lava is filling the place, you have to trick miners so you can escape alive with your treasure. In this game, greed is good!

Prospector's Greed was our first short game project we had to make at the NAD. I teamed up with 11 artists ( no programmer, but a skillful sound designer ) and we had 7 weeks to make it. The work went really good all the project long, we took right decisions when we had to and get the right formation to the right people to make sure that we would'nt get stuck in hasardous problems like being late on the schedule. 

( 5th trimester school project )

Our second project of the Production Simulation course was named Lichet & Stank. It is setted on another planet where a creature-lover girl is attempting to save her friend who is exploited on a slave train. So Lichet and her little pal Stank must hack several devices through their adventure in order to open their way to the head train and so free their friend.

For this project, we were 13 people working togheter and had to realize it within 8 weeks. This time again we used no programmer's help. For the video capture, we add a desaturation filter to give it a sadder look.

 

( 6th trimester school project )

A little boy challenges his fears in a nightmare where he must show his valor and be brave enough to get to the end.  On his path, black wolves are waiting in the dark for the good time to attack.

 

N.B: The quality of the assets in this game is blocking-like because i had almost no time to give for this. I focused on making the most gameplay features possible and getting them to work and on the atmosphere that i wanted heavy and stressful, as suggests the song in the level.

A game i've been designing with some friends at the school. (7 weeks of ideation & planning)

 

Then I put all this up in UDK all by myself.

I did all the Kismet, all the blocking, all integrations, all the visual direction, etc. (8 weeks of hard laboring in UDK)

 

I would like to thanks Jasmin Guimont-Fortin for my main character he made, thanks to Camille Lebrun for the main character's animations and thanks to Florence-Alexandra Sinclair for the wolf and its animations.

 

The point of this game was to make me feel more confident in a game engine. So in this game there is a few 2000 nodes to make the thing works as planned. Now that it's done, i think i earned a good level at kismet wizardry.
